Like A Prayer

Life is a mystery.  Everyone must stand alone.  I hear you call my name.  And it feeeeels like....Home.

All I have to say is that Morimoto Waikiki is H-O-T...HOT!  The DJ VDAY brunch event was filled with Honolulu socialites and fashionistas.  Enjoying creative dishes by Moto himself all while lipping the words to Madonna in between bites.  The food could of literally sucked...and I would have still been genki.  Bleeding with style and posh, this was definitely the way to spend my last day of 29!

1.  Huge hugs and high 5s to my PR pal Cara.
2.  Loved the color palettes of mint and lemon against the purity of white and earthy wood.
3.  VDAY DJ
4.  Ume Shiso Bloody Marys = KANPAI!
5.  Lobster Melt and Wasabi fries.  (under $20...not so shabby)
6.  FAVORITE Moto Photo. Picture of Grace Park from Hawaii Five-O and pretending to take a picture of Alani.
7.  The Man himself
9.  The Waikiki Edition Hotel (Home of Morimoto)
10.  Oahu Ohana

Happy Hump day Wednesday.  3 day weekend is in our reach!

Weekly High Fives

Here's the very first Sunday edition of my weekly high fives.  Wow-zers!  And it's only 9 days and counting until I replace the 2 with a 3.

1.  My name is Jenn and I am addicted to Hautelook.  Words cannot explain the feeling I get at the sight of these on my doorsteps.

2.  Blogger's Notebook gifted by Alani

3.  Our cafeteria staff goes all out! Chinese New Year Themed School Lunch.  The only place in Hilo serving baked manapua. (maybe not...my personal plea for a dim Sum joint.)

4.  Pau hana SUP sessions with Chris.  **LOVE**

5.  Okay...so let me explain.  This past week I was helping a 1st grader sort buttons in math.  His list is on the left.  While developing his list, he randomly took a break to draw the picture on the right.  Ponytail girl = me  Spikey haired boy = student  Butterfly with arrow = "what's that?" I asked.  He replies "oh, that's for you!"

*It's Sunday friends, enjoy what's left of a fabulous week.  Wishing you many hugs and high 5s. Even from the littlest guys.*

Hoppy New Year

The Tiger has officially left the building.  Hellooooo Year of the Rabbit.  Almost every major city has a Chinatown (right??  It's my guess).  Well, Honolulu does!  My gal pals (Along with Daddy Aaron and babies in tow) and I soaked in the I LOVE CHINATOWN Festival.  My zodiac rooster feathers enjoyed the crazy energy, delicious (and cheap) delictables, and the numerous dragon dancers.  Hilo is not such a major city. So...no Chinatown festivities here :o(.  In fact I'm hoping this will be the year that someone will open up a Dim Sum joint in downtown (Insert light bulb.  Possible business venture?).  Anywho...atleast I have these photos to feast on.  Kung Hee Fat Choy!

1.  I Love Chinatown Festival = Serious major block party action
2.  So should've bought this fish.  Glamourous with a touch of gaudy.
3.  See the mini pink shoe?  Cutie wanted to be in the photo.  Mom opted for the dragon self-portrait.
4.  Kalei + Sarai = Some Serious Fashionistas rockin the red.
5.  Need I say more.  A staple here in the islands.
6.  Not one...not two...but THREE Dragons.
7.  This photo HAD to make the cut.  Mr. Man did some serious posing once he saw my camera.
8.  Yum!
9.  Alani, New Friend aka "Monkey Man" as Alani called it, and me
10.  Huge Props for the use of tinsel to make read-able words.

*Friday is just around the corner friends! *

The Five F-words

I can't wait!!  I'm so excited for the debut of my newest blog. (R.I.P. Blog #1 - Adventures with Sharkey and Crabby) My mind is oozing with photos and things that I want to share with you bloggers & bloggettes.

So here it is (*Insert drum-roll)  Hugs and High 5s.
A blog that will contain anything to do with:

 1) Family...

2) Friends...

Alani aka "Bulakalaka Pal".  Yes, that is an acid wash denim skirt and hair-sprayed wave in her hair.  No, she does not normally dress like this.

 3) Fun ...
My very own popcorn machine. Dreams really do come true.

4) Fabulousity ...
(Thank you Kimora for such a wonderful term)
Creamy green tea ice cream + a cold glass of Sapporo = speechless

5) & Funny-ness!
Yes, you are seeing right.  This fish is missing an eye.

*Wishing you many hugs and high 5s as we venture into February!*
